AaniI.
Serving the excellence of Prince Edward County, our menu is seasonal, inspired by local farmers, producers, and nature. So you can expect to find new menu items every time you visit.
It all began with Stella Pamajewon Marshall, Chef Leah Marshall Hannon’s great grandmother. Stella raised her family on the shores of Pickerel River. With only a small isolated general store for supplies, her community foraged, hunted and depended on the abundance mother nature offered them. Stella honed the wisdom and techniques passed down to her from her ancestors, and created comfort in the form of food.
The stories and shared meals passed down within her family made an impression on Chef Leah. Her menus honour the legacy of grandmothers, mothers and daughters gathering around a fire, families and friends gathered around a table.
Keeping things simple and good, Leah prepares comfort food inspired by the fresh and seasonal ingredients sustainably-sourced within our local foodways. The chalkboard menu changes constantly with the seasons, and is designed for family-style dining and sharing. Each dish is a celebration of local, foraged, and seasonal ingredients.
The same goes for the constantly-changing wine & beer list. We always keeps a selection of delicious local and international wines available to enjoy with your meal, and to go, as well as some seriously good brews.
We appreciate our community, farmers and suppliers, celebrate the availability of good locally-grown, organic and fantastic ingredients in Prince Edward County, and strive to continuously learn and discover more about the bounty nature has to offer. Basically, Stella’s is a place you can come to eat good comfort food and enjoy a nice drink. We’re looking forward to getting to know you and feeding you and your loved ones.
We aim to support female entrepreneurs, business owners, winemakers, farmers, and community-members as much as possible.
